This video is made from two video snippets and twelve stills and could easily end up as a boring slide show of old junk that means nothing to you. It would have been totally pointless.
Unfortunately most family slide shows are just that – series of random photos.
Without much effort, but with much thought, in just a few words sprinkled along the 2-minute video we can turn this into a short story. You should plan your videos as you would tell a story (or relate an event) to a friend.
As I don't have a great voice, I leave the naration to plain text.
As always, music adds immensely to the video. In this case, the guitar piece is played by my friend, Barbara Kubica. It is roughly done and recorded using only the built-in microphone of her laptop. This unpolished recording fits the home-made feel of the video.
As I had mentioned before, video making is so much fun and costs almost nothing. Most people already have the tools, perhaps without realising it.
